At County Fabrics we will help you decide how to hang your curtains.  There are both functional and aesthetic elements to think about.  In addition certain heading styles work better with particular poles or tracks.  To make a truly beautiful pair of curtains everything needs to work in harmony together and importantly achieve the required practical outcome – blackout for example.

Sounds complicated?  It’s really not and our experienced team are always here to help.  In addition we have written several blog posts on the advantages of poles or tracks as well as options for bay windows and other challenging shapes.

In the store we have a wide range of pole samples for you to look at.  The range of sizes, colours, finishes and finials is extensive.  We love poles by Byron and Byron as well as numerous other trade suppliers. A pole can form part of the furniture of your room or be discreetly placed so as hardly noticeable.

We recommend selecting your fabric first and then looking at poles that coordinate.

With regards tracks we will have an option that will work for you.  We have a full display of Silent Gliss products as well as Cameron Fuller, Houles, and numerous other products from our trusted partners.  Considerations for tracks include:

  • Corded or uncorded
  • Runners or glider type
  • Weight of curtains
  • Ceiling or face fix tracks
  • Colour and appearance

County Fabrics have supplied and fitted numerous metropoles (and other similar products) throughout Scotland.  We love the sleek look of a metropole coupled with the fantastic functionality they provide, particularly over long runs with bends.

Samples of all these products are in our showroom and we are very happy to take the time to understand your requirements and advise on the best available product.
